The Guétali rooms offer you all the comfort of the Iloha in a warm atmosphere with contemporary decoration.
Set in an attractive two-floor Creole villa, the 16 Guetali rooms all feature an equipped kitchenette on their terrace. There are 8 rooms on the first floor boasting panoramic sea view, and 8 rooms on the ground floor which all provide direct access to the swimming pool.
What is a Guetali ?
Guetali, “Guette a li” in Creole language, could be translated by ” Watch him “. The “Guetali” refers to a wooden construction typical of Creole architecture, usually located at the corner of a garden, which allow to observe the passers-by on the street without being seen.
Guetali is a part of the architectural heritage of Reunion, and is still widespread in Creole houses, and even extends to kiosks built in the 4 corners of the island to perpetuate the tradition of Sunday picnics.
At Iloha, we wanted to safeguard this heritage by offering a convivial space which welcomes families, friends, or couples, near the second pool of the hotel.
